WALL-E (stylized with an interpunct as WALL-E) is a 2008 American computer-animated science fiction film created by Pixar Animation Studios and published by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the first computer-animated feature film produced by Pixar Animation Studios. It was directed and co-written by Andrew Stanton, and it was produced by Jim Morris, with co-writing credits going to Jim Reardon and Jim Reardon. It features the voices of Ben Burtt, Elissa Knight, Jeff Garlin, John Ratzenberger, Kathy Najimy, and Sigourney Weaver, as well as Fred Willard, who plays the only important live-action role in the film (and in Pixar’s history). WALL-E is the studio’s tenth feature picture overall, and it follows a single robot on a future, desolate, abandoned Earth in the year 2805, who is left to pick up waste. To his surprise, a probe dispatched by the spaceship Axiom, a robot named EVE, pays him a visit, and he falls in love with her and chases her throughout the galaxy.
